These are unprecedented times for the public services. The role of the public sector, it’s constituent organisations, teams and individuals are under scrutiny. Just to make cuts is not enough. Finding different, more effective solutions to increasingly complex challenges has never been more important. The Mudd Partnership is working alongside a senior team in one Local Authority to re-examine the role of the Department itself, the senior team within that and then the individuals who make up the team. We are working with them to review and articulate their purpose and objectives and then to enable them to agree and action the changes required meet these.
Our support to date has included strategic development days, team coaching, one to one Executive coaching, performance coaching and coaching for Service redesign. The work is ongoing but the team are clear that the support we have provided has made a difference. This is particularly in relation to the team’s understanding and appreciation of the reality they are facing, a shared plan for change and development to meet identified objectives and an increased confidence individually and as a team moving forward.
