Frontline leadership in the NHS
|
One of Scotland’s NHS Boards recently developed a Learning Strategy as an enabler to the delivery of it’s Strategic Framework. Critical to the successful implementation of the the Strategy is the creation of a Career Framework for all staff. As a starting point in populating the framework and so helping staff to fully understand the requirements of their roles and where they might seek ongoing development and support, the Mudd Partnership was commissioned to develop and approach to leadership and management for four frontline roles.
Through a process of consultation and mapping national standards and identifying appropriate development provision this health board is now able to support their staff to access appropriate and timely development to meet the needs of the roles.
During the time we worked with the organisation we ensured the transfer of skills and knowledge which has now enabled the organisation to take forward the next stage in the development of the career framework by utilising internal resources.
